Discover more of Europe. Feel closer to it.
vaic.at today previews mEUvy 3.0, the next chapter of the app built to connect you with Europe. With Explore and Compare, real photography, and development for Apple Vision Pro, Mac, Apple TV and the web, we’re bringing a more visual, more engaging approach to discovering places and understanding what life there could be like.
Europe is at the heart of mEUvy. Whether you’re planning a move, discovering a city for the first time, or revisiting somewhere that already means something to you, we want exploring it to feel rewarding from the moment you open the app.
We love building mEUvy because there is so much of Europe worth getting to know. A canal in Amsterdam. The rooftops of Florence. A neighbourhood that could become home. Turning that curiosity into an experience you can see, explore and make your own is what excites us about 3.0.
This first look features development builds and research previews. mEUvy 3.0 is in development.

Explore: let a place catch your imagination
In the 3.0 development build, exploration begins with an interactive globe. Spin it, zoom in and choose a place that catches your eye. From there, photographs and place information help you move from a view of Europe to a closer look at an individual city.
We’re building Explore around the details that make somewhere distinctive: the water and narrow streets of Amsterdam, the architecture and broad panoramas of Florence, and the surroundings that give each place its character. Real photographs give that first impression a real point of reference, with credits for the photographers in the notes below.
That is the experience we want mEUvy to offer: the pleasure of discovering somewhere, with practical information close at hand when you want to know more.
Compare: turn curiosity into a clearer choice
When more than one place catches your attention, Compare brings the details together. Looking at cities side by side helps you see their differences and decide which questions matter most to you, from the climate you would enjoy to the everyday life you want to research.
Try it for yourself. Compare Amsterdam, Florence, Lisbon and Vienna across living costs, everyday life and climate. Choose two cities, pin the details that matter to you, and explore the differences. This guest preview needs no mEUvy account.

Europe, with a new sense of presence
We’re excited to bring mEUvy to Apple Vision Pro as part of 3.0. Spatial computing gives us a new way to design for exploration, with an interface that can occupy the space in front of you and room to give places the attention they deserve.
For us, the opportunity is deeply connected to what mEUvy has always been about. Before a place becomes part of your life, you want to get a feeling for it. We’re developing a spatial experience that brings that first encounter closer, whether you’re discovering somewhere new or reconnecting with a place you love.

A vision of feeling closer to a place

AI-generated
About this imageThis person, room and immersive Amsterdam scene were generated with AI using a canal photograph as a reference. The image dramatises an intended spatial effect. It is an illustrative concept, not a photograph of an actual headset experience or a capture of working in-app immersion.
Real places. A new perspective.
Our work on immersion starts with real photography. Alongside photographs and panoramas, we’re developing three-dimensional reconstructions that introduce depth and allow a small change of viewpoint. It is one of the parts of mEUvy we are most excited to build: giving a familiar image another way to draw you into a place.
The Amsterdam example below shows that work in progress. Switch from the original photograph to the depth preview and press play. As the viewpoint moves, the inferred depth changes how the canal and its surroundings appear. This is a research render; bringing reconstructed places into the app is still in development.
From a photograph to a sense of depth4

Florence offers a different kind of view. A gentle camera movement takes you across a panoramic photograph, giving you time to notice the city’s skyline and architecture. Both examples begin with a photographer’s work. Credits, licences and details of image adaptations appear in the notes below.
Florence, in a wider frame5

We also folded in a landscape mode.
Turn your device (including iPhone) for a wider view of Europe. Explore places and compare their details in landscape, with a layout that makes the most of the space in your hands.

More ways to keep Europe close
mEUvy 3.0 is also coming to the web, with an experience optimised for Safari, alongside development for Mac, Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro. Our ambition is to make exploring Europe a natural part of your day, from a quick look on your phone to time spent researching on a larger screen.
The iPhone and iPad builds shown here already demonstrate how the interface adapts to different displays. On iPhone, the globe puts exploration in your hand. On iPad, the two-pane Home layout gives the map and discovery content room to sit alongside one another. We care about those differences because the right layout can make it easier to notice, understand and enjoy what you’re seeing.
The interactive examples in this article offer a first taste in your browser. They are small demonstrations; the full mEUvy web experience is still in development.
More room to explore, together6

Useful information, with its context intact
A beautiful view sparks interest. Understanding the information behind it helps you take the next step. mEUvy brings together information from the mEUvy database, bringing photographs and practical details into the same exploration.
The newer Compare capture shows monthly expenses and net salary in euros, alongside measures labelled as relative indices. Coverage varies by place, and available dates and context remain beside the figures. We want you to see what a figure represents and know where to look next, so mEUvy can be a useful starting point for your own research.
Compare places with the details in view7

Your privacy. Your choices.8

Built with curiosity. Shaped by you.
mEUvy began with a simple purpose: make it easier to start researching a move within Europe. Version 2.0 brought a more visual, curated approach to that exploration. With 3.0, we’re taking the next step through Explore and Compare, new device experiences, and our work on immersion.
Your feedback has helped shape that direction, and we’re proud to share what we’re building. We love making products that encourage people to discover more, ask questions and feel connected to the places around them. With mEUvy, that starts with Europe, and with you.
Availability and what comes next
mEUvy is available natively on iPhone and iPad today. Version 3.0, including development for Mac, Apple Vision Pro and the web, is in progress. We’ll share release timing and platform availability as they are confirmed.
We’ll continue to update this announcement with more of the features and services taking shape around mEUvy. Today’s first look brings together Explore and Compare, device recordings, and a preview of our spatial work. We can’t wait to share what comes next.
