[Link] Cecilia Conte, doctoral candidate in Prehistoric Archaeology, has published two articles
Cecilia Conte is pursuing her doctorate at Freie Universität Berlin on horses in Mongolian culture. In her recently published article “Being-in-the-field,” she examines how archaeological knowledge is produced, what daily life is like at an excavation site, and how she positions herself in this context as both an insider (archaeologist) and an outsider (non-Mongolian). “Reflections” is a contribution to the 2024 Mongolia Symposium in Vienna, where she explores what defines the academic community of Mongolian Studies.
