1 min read Updated June 9, 2026

Under Article 15 of the GDPR, you have the right to obtain confirmation of whether your personal data is being processed and, if so, to receive a copy of that data.

What Data Is Included

Your data export includes:

  • Account information — username, display name, email, bio, location
  • Preferences — theme, notifications, privacy settings
  • Content — feed posts, CUEs, comments, follows
  • App data — EUnify, mEUvy, EUorigin, Wave activity
  • Connected accounts — OAuth provider connections
  • Messages — News discussion messages (E2EE messages are not included as we cannot decrypt them)

How to Request Your Data

  1. Go to Settings > Your Rights
  2. Click "Request My Data" under Right of Access
  3. Your export will be prepared automatically
  4. You will receive an email with a download link when ready

You can also download your data directly from Settings > Data Export.

Export Format

Your data is exported as a JSON file, which is a structured, machine-readable format that can be opened in any text editor or processed by software.
