Context

TikTok isn't just a video app—it's one of the most aggressive data collectors in existence. The app has been caught accessing clipboard data, tracking keystrokes, collecting biometric data (face and voice), and even bypassing iOS security features. ByteDance, TikTok's parent company, is legally obligated to share data with the Chinese government upon request. The DOJ and FTC are actively suing TikTok for knowingly collecting data from millions of children. Taking control of TikTok's permissions is essential.

Restricting TikTok's permissions reduces data collection by approximately 70% and blocks clipboard snooping, location tracking, and biometric data harvesting.
